The Young Victoria is rich in personal drama and political
intrigue with a sumptuous production design.

Carrey Mulligan gives an astounding, Oscar-caliber performance in this
touching, poignant, and precise coming-of-age tale of a young British
girl who falls for an older charismatic man (Peter Sarsgaard), set
against post-war, pre-Beatles London.
Mulligan completely owns "An Education," giving one of the most
self-assured breakout performances in years. An elegant and sharply observed coming-of-age story.
A multiple award winner at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival including
the World Audience Award.
U.K., 101 minutes,
English & French language.

Richard Linklater's story of a whirlwind week in 1937 NYC when a young
aspiring actor (Zac Efron) is thrown into the middle of Orson Welles’
Mercury Theatre Company on the eve of the opening of Welles’ historic
staging of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. During this week, Richard will
find romance with a worldly older woman (Claire Danes), become
immersed in a creative experience few are afforded, and learn the
downside of crossing the imperious, brilliant Welles (strikingly
portrayed by newcomer Christian McKay). Richard is about to grow up
faster than he ever imagined.
A really satisfying backstage drama, this is an exhilarating tour
around a man whose talent was almost as big as his ego.
U.K./U.S.A., 115 minutes,
English language.
Rated PG with coarse language.
