AMICI ENSEMBLE |
Established in 1985, the acclaimed
Toronto-based AMICI Chamber Ensemble include musicians Joaquin Valdepeñas,

Valdepeñas, one of the leading clarinetists in the world, is now in his 30th
season as Principal Clarinet of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Serouj
Kradjian is a virtuoso soloist and chamber musician, known for his
performances of a broad range of repertoire. Moshe Hammer is admired for his
unique interpretations and vibrant tone, and has performed around the world

The music critic of Wholenote Magazine praised AMICI: (Their) confident
playing must be heard to be believed; such instrumental virtuosity is little
short of miraculous."
Amici replaces the originally scheduled OSIRIS TRIO from Amsterdam
who, regrettably, are unable to come to North America for their long-planned

low-budget 1960 black comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors, directed by
Roger Corman. The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock
and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several show-stoppers including
the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and
"Suddenly, Seymour".
With an accomplished cast, superb scenery
