ZOLTAN FEJERVARI, piano (CRS) – Sun (Jan 20) 2:30pm

Winner of the 2017 Concours Musical International de Montréal piano edition
and recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, Zoltán Fejérvári has appeared in recitals throughout Europe and the United States in such prestigious venues as Carnegie’s Weill Hall in New York, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia and the Liszt Academy in Budapest. He has performed as a soloist with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Hungarian National Orchestra, the Verbier Festival and Concerto Budapest Orchestra under such conductors as Iván Fischer, Zoltán Kocsis and Gábor Takács-Nagy.

Zoltán Fejérvári is a passionate chamber musician. He has been a participant in Kronberg’s Chamber Music Connects the World program, Prussia Cove’s Open Chamber Music and Encuentro de Música in Santander. At the invitation of Mitsuko Uchida, he participated in the Marlboro Music Festival during the summers of 2014 through 2016. His recording of Liszt’s Malédiction with the Budapest Chamber Symphony was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque in 2013.

BEZHOD ABDURAIMOV, piano (CRS) – Sat (Feb 9) 2:30pm

“his secret: authenticity, control and a velvet pianissimo” 
The young Uzbek pianist Bezhod Abduraimov is taking the world’s stages by storm. Described by The Times as the “master of all he surveys” and with The Washington Post  noting to “keep your ear on this one,” Bezhod Abduraimov’s captivating performances continue to receive international praise.

Recent seasons have seen him perform with leading orchestras worldwide, such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, NHK Symphony and Leipzig Gewandhaus orchestras, and with prestigious conductors including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Manfred Honeck, Vasily Petrenko and Jakub Hru°ša. He performed with the Munich Philharmonic in their 360 Degree Festival in 2016 and made a spectacular BBC Proms debut with them later that season.

Born in 1990, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Abduraimov is an alumnus of Park University’s International Center for Music in Missouri, where he studied with Stanislav Ioudenitch.

YEVGENY SUDBIN, piano (CRS) – Sat (Mar 23) 2:30pm

“one of the most searching and inspired of today’s pianists” 
Yevgeny Sudbin has been hailed by The Telegraph as “potentially one of the greatest pianists of the 21st century.” He has collaborated with some of the world’s most influential conductors, including Neeme Järvi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Osmo Vänskä, Hannu Lintu, and Andrew Litton. His love of chamber music has led him to collaborate with many other instrumentalists including Ilya Gringolts, Hilary Hahn, Julia Fischer, and the Chilingirian Quartet. Appearances at festivals include Aspen, Mostly Mozart, Tivoli, Nohant, La Roque d’Anthéron, Menton and Verbier.

Sudbin’s recordings have been met with critical acclaim and are regularly featured as CD of the Month by BBC Music Magazine, as their Editor’s Choice by Gramophone. His recording of works by Scriabin was described by Gramophone as “a disc in a million’ while the International Record Review stated that his Rachmaninov recording ‘confirms him as one of the most important pianistic talents of our time.”
