The Dan Brubeck Trio

The Sunshine Coast Jazz & Entertainment Society is thrilled to present The Dan Brubeck Trio with special guest Steve Kaldestad on saxophone.

Step into the world of jazz brilliance with the Dan Brubeck Trio, led by acclaimed drummer Dan Brubeck, son of legendary jazz icon Dave Brubeck.

A powerhouse performer and a rhythmic innovator, Dan has earned international acclaim for his dynamic style, dramatic solos, and mastery of polyrhythms. Critics worldwide have hailed his performances as both virtuosic and deeply moving.

Dan’s career highlights include producing and performing on the Grammy-nominated Trio Brubeck album, appearing at the Grammy Awards, and taking the stage at the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors. For decades, he has toured globally, leading his own ensembles and collaborating with some of the world’s top symphonies and jazz artists.

For this unforgettable evening, Dan will be joined by three of Canada’s finest jazz musicians

along with special guest Steve Kaldestad on saxophone.

Together, they’ll explore the rich legacy of the Brubeck family songbook, with a focus on selections from Dave Brubeck’s groundbreaking Time Out album, a cornerstone of modern jazz.
