“…the interplay between the four absolutely immaculate.” – The Strad

This amazing period instrument string quartet from the UK is fast making a name for itself with its honest and expressive interpretations of repertoire, notably from the classical and romantic eras. Formed at the Royal College of Music in London, the Consone Quartet launched their professional career in 2015. They’ve been selected as BBC New Generation Artists and in 2022 were awarded a Borletti-Buitoni Trust (BBT) fellowship. And the musicians have big name admirers in the early music world! Sir Roger Norrington says “they play with perfect intonation, tremendous attack, and impeccable historical style. All the four instruments work together with… intelligence and imagination.” telling.

Presented in collaboration with Early Music Vancouver.

This concert generously sponsored by : Peter Sever in memoriam of the Orford String Quartet’s first violinist, Andrew Dawes.
