Date(s): April 24th, 2025

Showtime: 12pm to 2pm

FREE lecture open to the public at Raven’s Cry Theatre in Sechelt on April 24.

Join Sechelt Hospital Foundation, Dr. Carmen Goojah (Palliative Care, Vancouver Coastal Health), Carmen Sombrowski (Lawyer, Flemming & Sombrowski), Chloe Delany (Social Worker, VCH), and a Bio-Medical Ethicist from VCH to understand:

  • What is an advanced care plan (ACP), who needs one, and when?
  • What are the legal documents, processes and implications?
  • What happens if a patient does not have one?
  • What are the common ethical questions and concerns?

This session will be a straight-forward and practical discussion suitable for adults, seniors and caregivers, with tools and a guide to local resources to honor patient wishes in the future.
